ART

In the end of Bogota Stencil Art Festival observed different expressions of urban art that brings together young people currently in the capital.

Under the harsh midday sun of a capital, dressed unusually young began to congregate around an abandoned building, located on Calle 80 with Carrera 28D, northwest of the city. On Sunday 28 February, while others had recovered at home from the rumba last night, these guys with piercings, tattoos and stained overalls prepared to do what they do best: brighten up the cold streets of this city with his art.

this was the closure Bogota Stencil Art Festival an event that, for a whole month, explored the various techniques of street art. Despite being devoted to stencil technique that evolved from graffiti, there was room for different expressions, ranging from airbrush to paint the posters.

For the size and visibility that have these art forms in the city, surprised by the low participation of people outside the community of young artists. Public usually those who 'pass by' and who, seeing the boys in action, decide to stay to see the final product. "You see that is a difficult technique, is an effortlessness that put you," said Rafael Gomez focused on the painstaking work of the young.

However, these artists seem to need no audience because the crowd that gathers makes the time pass quickly. Neither the desire to finish, or the hot sun, nor affect competition, however devoted to admire the work of others as observers.
The camaraderie also breathed in the atmosphere, "we are waiting to evacuate the stairs," he acknowledges Pipe, a young man who is just engaging in this art.
